I just figured we could nail down the names of some much needed channels. I think it would be interesting if we all named our wants. Everyone is so different and we all post diverse stuff.

I second/third:
-toys
-manipulation (juggling etc,.) would be a nice niche channel indeed

Doubt about the need for:
-cheese channel, that part of VS culture, not for categorization!
-illusion kind of falls under magic?
-controversial overlaps with NSFW mostly, or?

i agree about *illusion eklek, i forgot about the magic channel.

i still think *controversial would be a worhty addition though, covers a lot more than just naughty language.

and *education should definitely be considered.

Funny no-one has thought of it before, because it's something pretty basic and is sifted quite often. I just now hope I can get to 250 in a month or so, I'm so paranoid someone else will finally think of it

Personally, I guess the one I've most wanted to have beside the aforementioned is *medicine. I also strongly advocate creation of *90s, *robots, *poetry and *education.

We have hiphop and rocknroll, but not *country or *punk. Or *jazz/*blues for that matter. I'm not sure that we should go around adding a bajillion different types of music channels...all we really need is music and rocknroll.

EDIT: Woops, we DO have a jazz/blues channel...for some reason I've never seen it/didn't notice it.

I think it's odd that we have something as specific as a cooking channel, but no food channel (where non-cooking related food videos are not welcome -- I've tried, and they've been removed).

*health and *electronica. Maybe *90s...I usually tag as 90s if that describes my video so I don't see a problem with that as a channel. Everything else seems pointless. I think we even need to reduce some of the crappy channels we have already.

bea wants a *bodyparts! channel, also *mentalillness
this is what ive been thinking. we totally need a *health/wellnes/medicine channel
and maybe a lot of body parts and mental illness issues would be lumped in there.
but i can think of sift worthy videos involving body parts that are not really health related. and sure that includes boobs i guess, but it wouldnt just be a place to dump your boob videos. like cotortionists! and videos of my middle finger!!!

also, the *femme channel needs to be cleaned up alot. just because a video has a woman in it, that doesnt make it worthy of the *femme channel imo. someone please either take this over or give 150stars.

*mentalillness maybe *psychology would this overlap with *medicine and *brain?
maybe but i like having this specific category. especially since my mental illness sifts go ignored and there is never really an appropriate channel.

*koreans. Yeah we already got *asia, but being in the same category with those crazy Japanese shows gives us Koreans bad rep. We don't wanna be affiliated with them crazy Japs.

AND we have 3 specified national tags such as *Canada, *British, and *Downunder. What's up with that? Just call yourselves *BritishPatrons and unite it under one tag for god sakes.

*Latin or *Spanish channel would also be good, as well as *Europe.

Maybe not totally relevant, but I'd like to see the return of the *nominate or *bestof channel - maybe three golds or 100-golds would have to nominate a vid to place there, or some other parametric.... sort of a sift-wide critical-mass playlist.

I was thinking hypocrisy, although that's kind of like lies. I like the idea of a Sea/Water and health/medicine. Also, decade channels 60's, 70's, 90's etc. seem like an OK idea.
